Ives, Anne Birney (Birnbaum) (1892--1948). She was a New York City schoolteacher. Around 1915, on a trip out West, she met a miner, Alan "Ollie" Ives, who was on his way to Ruby. Anne accompanied him to Ruby, where they married. Anne worked for the Ruby Record Citizen newspaper, and wrote long columns using the pseudonym "Cheechaco Girl."(Source). Likely the woman pictured in the window at the newspaper office.
