I found your email address when searching Google, Pioneers of Alaska.

I want to know who can give me any information about Peter Hanratty, my grandfathers brother.

I was in Juneau on a cruise and found a CD in their library WHICH GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

Pioneers of Alaska Records, Roll No 1180, Igloo No 4
Subject Peter Hanratty born 1874
Born in Liverpool, England on August 16 1874.
Arrived in Nome on June 22 1899
LCCN pnr00004495
Date 1990 Language English
Type Books Govt. Juvn

His next of kin was my grandfather James Hanratty b 1876 who lived and died in Liverpool, England.

Through World War One enlistment records I found he was living in Fairbanks in 1917.

From Alaskan Census records he is shown living in Fairbanks up to 1930 I have been unable to learn anything more I don’t know when or where he died. I believe this was in Alaska. I don’t think he married but this is because no one in the family ever heard he married. He never returned to his home in Liverpool

Does the Igloo records give details of deaths and places lived, worked or died.

Anything you can do to direct me were to look is appreciated. The above limited information took me over 30 years to pull together. My mother was Marion Hanratty, so I want to close Peter Hanratty part in the family tree

Thank you
